You certainly can hear the water trickling which is amazing but also the pump too but eventually it gets blocked out and can focus on the trickling of water. I thought the plug was a bit bulky. I'm very happy with product, I've had no issues with it just yet and I've had it for few weeks and regularly use it. Bargain buy for only £20!
Honestly beautiful and well made. Not light and flimsy like I was half expecting, but heavy and sturdy. Even the crystal ball is glass and not plastic, so the colourful lights look wonderful shining through it, and very easily set up
